Pollux at ZUFALL
How paper loading lists in the ZUFALL logistics group network became a digital loading process – built during live operation, in regular use today.
The starting point
The ZUFALL logistics group is a family-owned logistics provider based in Göttingen, Germany. In its groupage terminals, what arrived during the day gets loaded every evening – under time pressure, with changing drivers, and with a process the TMS only knew from hearsay.
Loading lists on paper
The state of a tour lived on printouts that were stale after the first incident.
Questions over the radio
Anyone who wanted to know how far a tour had progressed had to interrupt exactly the people doing the loading.
No view of the state
Whether one more shipment would still go on was decided at the gate instead of on a screen.
One list instead of many slips
A digital loading list per tour, one scan per package when staging and when loading, guided workflows for damage and shortages – and a digital twin of the hall where dispatch sees every tour in its loading section. Built during live operation: what went in at night was on trial in the next morning's shift.

Pollux carries the loading process in regular operation – not as a test install.

From the pilot site outward: connected branches work from the same digital loading list.
The internal tool became a product
Pollux carries the daily loading at ZUFALL and is available as a product in its own right – licence model included.
